Starting a New Niche Blog For Profit
Are you thinking about starting a blog and would love to make money from it, but just don’t know where to start or what to consider in choosing a topic?
Choosing a topic that is also a “hot” niche is not the always the easiest thing in the world.
So how do you go about finding one that will draw in traffic AND tons of money?
There are a few steps we like to follow.
What are you passionate about? This is one of the most important aspects of picking a topic; your interest level. This will ensure that you will enjoy writing in your blog and it won’t die a slow painful death like so many out there!
Here are just a few Hot niche ideas to get you started thinking:
- Web Hosting
- Fashion Shoes
- “How to” stuff works well (woodworking, gardening, building, etc.)
- Real Estate
- Making money on ebay
- Low Cal Recipes (lots of sub-niches in here)
- Technology
- Weight Loss Dieting (Fads/Trends).. lots of sub-niches in here as well
- Computer Adware/Spyware
- Art
- Birds
- Horror/Comedy Movies
So, once you have an idea about what you are interested in, you can start doing some keyword research to find good keywords and/or subniches within your niche.
Why do this?
Well, 2 reasons. You can use keywords to help define your niche, understand your competition, and gain traffic. The better the keyword, the more likely it will be to bring visitors and targeted ones at that. Using keywords also gives you topics to start writing on. I like to find a minimum of 50 good keywords to begin with.
How, do you do this?
There are several FREE keyword tools you can give a try:
http://wordtracker.com/freetrial
http://www.keywordenchanter.com
http://www.keyworddiscovery.com (free trial)
Plug in your chosen topic of interest and give it a whirl!
Example: Say perhaps you are interested in a cooking niche. So, you type cooking into the keyword tool. Asian cooking comes out with a high number of searches, so that might be a great niche. Now using that keyword, type it in to see what additional keywords come up under that niche. Low cal cooking, Noodles, etc. Now think of all the recipes, topics, ideas you can write about with those keywords.
Remember, if something does NOT have a decent amount of searches on it, then it won’t bring in a good amount of traffic in order to make you money!
Using one of the above free tools you will receive a list that explains which keywords are searched on most often and what the demand versus competition is. I would be on the lookout for a highly searched keyword with more demand and less competition. These are often times displayed using a KEI score. I like to look for keywords with a KEI score of over 20, but you can really get a sense of what may or may not work by reviewing all the scores.
If you have a hard time thinking about a topic of interest… think about what you read, what hobbies you have, what activities you enjoy. Sometimes it’s the NON streamline niches that end up making the most money and creating the most interest! Once you have picked out your niche, read about ways to make your blog successful and follow along.
So, enjoy and don’t stress… it’s all about getting the ball rolling and just starting.

Developing An Income Stream From Your Passion

If you have been blogging for some time and have developed a nice little niche and a following of readers it is because you are providing them with something they want and more than likely something of value and quality.
A great way to continue on with that value and perhaps even make some money is to develop a product or even a service of your own.
Perhaps you have a horseback riding blog and you offer tips on the best types of equipment, the top training methods, and more on your blog. Most of your readers are either horse lovers, horse trainers, horse owners, or something of the like. Now perhaps you have a bit more knowledge about riding styles and how to train for horse shows and competitions.
Suppose you were able to compile an ebook about “Training Horses For Show” or something to that nature and offer every piece of your knowledge and experience. You could sell this ebook to your readers and more. They are already aware of your quality so this would be a natural progression in providing a huge chunk of information to your readers all in one place.
Developing your own product is really one of the best ways to make money from a blog and a way to get your name and business out there even farther.
Once you have developed a product; you can add it to clickbank and paydotcom and have affiliates sell it for you as well. This is an easy way to distribute your material to a wide group and not have to work so hard just yourself.
Creating your own product also brings a multitude of other opportunities for the future.
My advice: Don’t ever second guess your experience and knowledge. If you have something to share and you know what and how to do it.. then pull it together and create a product! Sometimes even offering your experience and coaching can work just as well.

Savvy marketers have discovered that blogging is one of the best Internet marketing methods out there, that will cost you very little except for a tad bit of time.
Blogging for your Internet or Brick and Mortar business is one of the best methods to boost the visibility of your products and services online.
Here are a few methods to help boost your internet advertising from using a blog:
1. Make your clients or customers aware of your businesses plans, events, and changes. Your new products and affiliate websites could also be announced through your blog.
2. Keep track of your business objectives and goals through open writing. Your blog content is similar to a website in that the material is stored through archives. What could be better than searchable information that could be easily accessed by anyone browsing the web, right?
3. Voice your opinions, advice or reviews on specific services or products that are related to your business. Publishing is a very easy process with blogging.
4. Include links that will fetch backlinks and subsequently improve your ranking on search engines. This could be better executed through putting well written articles on your website and more. Affiliate links could also be included in your blog to earn additional income.
5. Collect responses through the ability of blogs to grab comments from your blog readers. You can learn and improve your products and services through with the feedback from your readers. Be sure to maintain an open style of communication that makes it easy for your readers to respond.
6. Connect and network with other bloggers. When other bloggers notice that you have something well written on your blog, they might just put you in their favorite lists or befriend you by linking to your blogs.
Hope that helps, and good luck!
How to Create a Blog

Learning how to create a blog can be incredibly intimidating if you have never done it before, especially if you want to have full control of your own blog with your own URL.
It can seem awfully technical; especially when you hear talk of having to install scripts and deal with MYSQL panels.
The good news is that there are two easy ways to get a blog up and running now. The first way- watch this video below and follow and the step by step instructions OR you can ask me! For just $25 I will put up a blog for you either on your own hosting or mine. My hosting will run you just $5 a month and you still have full access. No other fees involved. I will also help you choose a theme, add any plugins you like, and fix up the permalinks to make it nice and SEO friendly.
I figured that since my last post; I wrote about how earning blogging money can net you a full time passive income, I thought I would take a step back and show you how to create a blog if you are not even sure how to get started.
If after watching the video, you’re still not sure how to create a blog, you really shouldn’t spend frustrating days or even weeks trying to get your first blog on the web.
In fact, doing that will only serve to frustrate you. There are many people who set out to earn money on the Internet and have to give up because of the technical details (don’t be one of them!).
If you have any questions or are ready to get your blog started, email me right now at admin @ getpaidtoonline.com and I will get in touch asap.
This is a very simple and to the point video on how to get a wordpress blog installed on Blue Host.

Free Keyword Research Tool – PPC Web Spy

I just wanted to put up a quick post about a free keyword research tool I have started using. I received an e-mail about it about a week ago so I though I would give it a try and I was incredibly impressed not only with the user friendly design, but the fact that it was actually free was amazing to me!
PPC Web Spy was created to be used as a plugin with the FireFox browser. The software actually gives you the ability to spy on what keywords your competitors are using in their PPC campaigns. This has made PPC marketing much more effective for me because I honestly had no idea how to choose decent keywords before, now that I know which keywords are more effective I am experiencing more conversions than I was before.
When you download PPC Web Spy for the first time and visit google you will notice that underneath all of the ads their will be a button that says “View Keywords” as shown below.
When click the view keyword button below the AdWords advertising, you will see what key words the website is using. If you want to dig further to see other related keywords, you can type the keyword in “suggest keywords” and the tool will give you a Google analysis of keywords. You can also see the bidding price and other details of the websites campaign. You can even see what other products your competitor is currently promoting. Click the image below to see the free keyword tool in action!
With all of the extra information it gives you, I truly am surprised it can be downloaded for free and it is not a trial version either! You will notice that you can upgrade to the premium version which will give you double the results and information, it isn’t required though. Although honestly I think I will be buying it soon because it has a lot more advantages. The free version is incredibly useful for the fact that it is free however! I thought this would be helpful to a lot of readers so I posted this as soon as possible. You can download your free version of PPC Web Spy by clicking on the banner below!
